The HJ Andrews Experimental Forest is featured in a new 2018 entry in "The Oregon Encyclopedia," an online reference of the Oregon Historical Society. The article is written by Oregon Historian and OSU Professor Emeritus William G. Robbins.  Robbins traces the history of the USFS Experimental Forest and the NSF-funded Long-Term Ecological Research program, and puts the evolution of the program and its research themes into the broader context of world events.
